the days of young

she came to you

said it will be fun

together as one

words filled the air

truth or lie

you pondered there

she seemed fair

her words so smooth

that somehow

you just knew

she was untrue

It is now

and you know

her words still smooth

and she’s untrue

life has past

never to have been

as close as one
