Awakening

Something is happening..

the pain engaging…

Physically aching…

to extremes…

almost fainting…

conflicting from the inside…

induced from the outside…

pure excruciating pain…

within this physical body…

all while this metaphysical body…

screams why…

what is this I endure…

is this meant to be…

a plan from the beginning…

have I not suffered enough in the past…

I have awakened to my purpose…

my soul sings love…

am I now to release the negative..

the past…

that which I carry within…

some pieces I may never know..

as for this …

I wish that it would just let me go.…….

  1. I think we all go through pain, all of us. Sometimes, and I think most of the time, pain comes from outside, sometimes from within. But I feel that even the pain that comes from within originally came from outside, so I think we must identify where the pain comes from and if it is something from the past we should take it out, put it outside and let it go. But suffering is a part of the human experience, we feel loss, and we feel longing. I think we must let ourselves feel these emotions, cry, mourn, put them on the outside and let go when we are ready. Seeking comfort and Love is essential in this process I think, from above or around 🙂

    • Yes Line…feeling to let go…finding love as we release…connecting to the love that is our true nature..without darkness..we cannot see the stars..Martin Luther King…when we stay in our heart center everything lifts in light…Heart to heart Robyn…may we all lift each other..

  2. Tonya, so many lines in this poignant poem echo thoughts that have bled from my own old wounds. It’s never fun to revisit them. May we endure today in hopes of a tomorrow that’s free of pain.
